In addition to the courses listed below, a number of courses, talks and counsels are delivered through this service by the various teachers. These are only available to registered students.

The Book of Assistance
There are many books in English which present Sufi doctrine, but few which can be used as practical travel guides along the Path. Originally written in Classical Arabic by Imam Abdullah Ibn-Alawi al-Haddad, the aptly-named Book of Assistance is today in widespread use among Sufi teachers in Arabia, Indonesia and East Africa.

The link below shows the readable translation of Dr. Badawi of this manual of devotions, prayers and practical ethics will be invaluable to all who love the Prophet and the Sufi way.

Nasaih al-Dinniya
Imam al-Haddad, author of The Book of Assistance, The Two Treatises and Gifts for the Seeker, based this book on Imam al-Ghazalis Ihya Ulum al-Deen. It follows the structure of Ihya and is written in a simple and easily accessible style. Unfortunately, there is no complete published English translation but this course will be taught from the original text with commentary and translation in English.

The following is an extract from the book Sufi Sage of Arabia: Imam Abdallah ibn Alawi al-Haddad by Mostafa al-Badawi:

The comtemporary grand-mufti of Syria [of Imam Haddad] was heard to say in the sacred presinct in Makka. "There is no man on earth today more learned than Sayyid Abdallah al-Haddad. His book al-Nasaih should be read by everyone."

The Glorious Treasure
Al-Dhakirah al-Musharaffa by al-Habib Umar bin Hafidh. The Glorious Treasure presents the fundamentals of the deen - obligatory upon every Muslim man and woman - and the appropriate supplications for specific occasions, as documented by the Sunnah. The text serves as a manual for both young and old alike; its memorisation is encouraged among children and those new to the religion and it acts as a reminder for the advanced student. It is currently taught at Dar Al Mustafa in Tarim and is recommended by Habib Umar bin Hafidh as the first book to be taught to students of knowledge. The book is available to purchase here.

Imam Nawawi's 40 Hadith
The knowledge and study of Hadith is essential for our in-depth and correct understanding of Islam. Like the Qur'aan, the Hadiths are from Allah too, but they are expressed in the person and language of Muhammad. Hence they are just as important to a Muslim as the Qur'aan.

The Qur'aan gives us principles, instructions and various laws and the Hadiths show us how these things are to be carried out. Those things which are not clear and precise can also only be correctly and fully understood from the Hadith because they distinctly reveal the interpretation given to the Qur'aan by the Messenger himself, hence leaving no room for discord and disorder amongst the Muslim Ummah.

Imam Nawawi's Forty Hadith are widely regarded as the most popular anthology and the best introduction to the study of the Prophet's Sayings in the English language. The hadith summarize the essential teachings of Islam, concentrating on the following areas: affirmation of the doctrine of tawhid and understanding Allah (swt) in all His attributes, the significance of the five pillars of Islam, attainment of virtue, self-sacrifice for the cause of Allah (swt) and preparation for the day of judgement.
